Weekly School Bulletin

Jun. 22, 2020

We had a great first week of summer school. We smoothed out technology issues, enhanced our online security measures, made sure all of our students were able to log into their courses, and saw amazing attendance! Remember, to help students and families navigate the mandatory Zoom sessions for each course, we have posted a schedule of the Zoom sessions on our website at www.hshmc.org. Thank you for supporting your child's success by making sure they are attending all mandatory Zoom sessions. Students who do not attend as required may be at risk of failing their summer courses.

If you purchased Yearbook online, we will be handing them out at HSHMC this Tuesday, June 23 between 11:00 – 1:00 pm. Please drive by school to pick yours up. We will be outside to hand it to you so you don't have to get out of your car. There are still a few yearbooks available for purchase from HERE for $38. They won't last long, so please order yours now. We will not be accepting payments in person on Tuesday, so if you would like to buy one, please do so online now and pick it up on Tuesday.

If you have any questions, or just want to touch base, I am still available online via Zoom every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm. To reach me there, simply register from our website under Chief's Office Hours and I will send you the link to join in.

Have a wonderful week.

To access Canvas, students must log into Clever using their HSHMC Google Account and then click on Canvas. In addition, to help students and families navigate the mandatory Zoom sessions for each course, we have posted a schedule of the Zoom sessions on our website at www.hshmc.org. The links to the sessions will be provided directly to students by their teachers.

With the use of the Zoom application for our face-to-face instruction and meeting times with our students, we hope you will continue to help reinforce our expectations that students using Zoom should be dressed appropriately for summer school and their actions while in the group setting should be respectful and non-disruptive as well.

As we move into summer, if your child needs technology or Wifi, please complete the form below on immediately so we can help resolve that:

Thank you for all your support as we have all worked together to complete the 2019-2020 school year. Finishing the year strong, through all the challenges and unprecedented times, gives us much to celebrate.

To begin, the link to HSHMC's Class of 2020 Virtual Graduation is now available on our website at www.hshmc.org. We hope you will join us tomorrow, Monday, June 8 at 5:00 pm as we honor our graduates.

We will be celebrating our 8th graders as they promote from middle school to high school on Tuesday, June 9 at 5:00 pm. The link for the promotion will also become available on our website.

On Thursday, June 11, between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm our graduates will be driving by HSHMC to pick up their diplomas and year books (yearbooks were included in their senior dues). Seniors coming by are asked to drive into the school's driveway where they will see a tent and signs for pickup. A staff member will place the diploma and yearbook in the trunk of their car to limit contact and practice social distancing.

Yearbooks are also now available for purchase for $38 through the link below. Once you purchase a yearbook for your child, you will be emailed a form to sign up for a time to drive by HSHMC to pick it up.
