Our seniors will be taking their pictures this Tuesday, October 29 (for seniors with last names beginning in A-L) and Wednesday, Oct 30 (for seniors with last names beginning in M-Z). We will also have makeup pictures on Tuesday, October 29 for students in grades 8 - 11 who missed getting their pictures taken last week.

Students are welcome to dress up for Halloween spirit day this Thursday, October 31. However, we ask that student costumes be appropriate for school in keeping with our respectful attire policy, and that students do not cover their faces with any type of mask. It is always a fun day at HSHMC and ASB looks forward to seeing who wins best costume this year!

The end of our first quarter is quickly approaching this Friday, November 1. Please check in with your child to be sure they are not holding any incompletes. It is expected that students who hold an incomplete are taking advantage of several resources we have to support their academic efforts. Tutoring is available every day after school, Monday through Thursday, from 3:15 to 4:15 in the SWAG lab. Teachers are available for help during our lunch tutorial time, and/or students can make an appointment to meet with their teachers during their office hours. We expect a busy week as students work hard to clear any incompletes before the end of the 1st quarter. Quarter 1 progress grades will be mailed home next week.

Again, if you have not already done so, please return the Free or Reduced Lunch Application by mail or fill out the on-line application located here. Time is running out to complete the application. Remember, all students need to apply each year whether you think they qualify or not.

Attendance Matters! If your child has missed a day of school, please send them to Saturday School this Saturday, November 2 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Students must stay the entire time to get credit for their absence.

Have a wonderful week. Thank you.
