Our yearbook club is sponsoring the Pennies for Patients fundraiser to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Their goal is to raise $1000 by collecting money (coin/bills) every day over the next two weeks during 2rd period. Each 2rd period classroom is competing for the most money raised with the 1st place winner receiving a pasta lunch party and cookie parties for 2nd and 3rd place class winners. Please encourage your child to donate any coins they have laying around the house, in backpacks, cars, etc.
We are holding our third blood drive of the year tomorrow from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. We hope you will consider coming by to donate. Please contact Ms. Rivas or Ms. Ramirez at the front desk if you are interested in making an appointment to participate.
Our scholarship search class begins this Wednesday, March 6 at 3:10. Seniors and Juniors are strongly encouraged to attend to begin searching and applying for college scholarships. Please contact Ms. Peña with any questions.
To continue to inform and involve families in our efforts to design the most exciting, engaging and effective education for our student body, we invite you parents and guardians to take our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) survey. The survey and more information about the LCAP can been found on our website at www.hshmc.org. Your opinion matters. Please take a few minutes to visit our site and take the survey.
Saturday School is scheduled again this Saturday, March 9, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please be sure to send your child to Saturday School if they have missed a day of school. Students must stay the entire time to get credit for their absence.
Have a wonderful week. Thank you.
